The aim of this project is to revitalize the redevelopment zone of the city, along the bank of the Passaic River, where the Newark Industrial Line meets the Nx bridge and continues along until it unites with the Essex Hudson Greenway.
A primary objective has been to pay attention to the connectivity of bike trails in existence, and those in the future, and in order to do this, possible loops for bike circulation have been studied for further possibilities of creating a hub of active transportation.
To further embellish this hunger for active transportation, a bike hotel is proposed, overlooking the NX bridge, which would be a popular destination for bikers who venture out into the trails, while industrial tourism is ingrained into the project by the addition of the Newark Museum of Industrial History along the bank of the river.
