In climates that offer leniency, the potential of natural ventilation and daylight should not be squandered, particularly in a world grappling with escalating climate change. Architects bear the responsibility of formulating design solutions that conscientiously harness existing resources, maximizing the use of abundant and sustainable elements such as natural ventilation and daylight.
Tailored for temperate climates where snow is rare and effective ventilation is essential, this project envisions a gallery space designed to be open-air, exclusively reliant on natural light. The building's form evolves from
an initial hexagonal shape, with strategic slits carved into its lateral surfaces to channel direct sunlight, casting a natural glow across the entire gallery. Embracing an open-air concept, the space invites unrestricted access, accommodating not only human visitors but also birds and weathered leaves, fostering a harmonious connection with the surrounding environment.
